Beware the Dangers of a Ghost Scorpion! – Caught Dead EP (RT)
Beware the Danger of a Ghost Scorpion! are a Boston based Surf-Prog band that was in Studio A tracking an EP as part of their Converse Rubber Tracks session. Reverb, reverb, tape delay, echo, and maybe a little spring reverb are abundant on this EP.
OC45 -Robbery – (Video)
Matt Tahaney produced and engineered this punk rock anthem by Bostonian’s OC45. It’s a classic sounding punk tune with thundering drums and loud guitars.
The Bynars – X vs. X (BC)
This batch of synth pop tunes was recorded at Q by Adam Taylor (of Camp Street Studios), and Sean Cahalin. While the tunes are synth heavy you can hear some of our guitar amps & pedals too. I remember Push and Pull’s San B Overdrive was getting some heavy use on these sessions. Adam and the band mixed the record at Zippah. The album has one epic jam (11 minutes!), which is a rare offering.
The Okay Win – “Please” (Video)
The Okay Win’s guitar drenched indie-rock noise is joyful and looks great in black and white. Recorded and mixed by Joe Tooley in Studio B, the Okay Win feature a former Q intern, Ryan Ward!
