Periodically we’re all told that guitar rock is a thing of the past. Thing is – it’s always going to be – in the now, the then, and in the Shallows. Recorded and mixed by Matt Alexander.

Slight Bight is a vehicle for Gavin McCarthy’s songs. Gavin’s songs are catchy and tuneful while still allowing for exploration, especially in sections that feature Andrew Stern on guitar. Gavin performs quadruple duty – playing bass, drums, guitar, and singing! Could have named the band Quad Bight.
You might have heard or seen Gavin play drums in Karate, E, The Confessions, Cul de Sac, and many other Boston area indie bands.

Look, it’s unclear to us if Dinoczar recorded anything from this track at Q, though we have concrete confirmation that the band did track some of its upcoming EP in Studio B with Matt Tahaney. With a name like Dinoczar we have to share their recent write up in Boston Hassle about their new single.

Filmed and recorded in Studio A, this production features a modern version of Under the Bridge by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. With a vibrant and colorful fusion atmosphere mixed in, this song highlights the songwriting of RHCP by giving it a poppy and jazzy twist, with a fitting string/choir arrangement support.
