Juliana Hatfield releases “Juliana Hatfield Sings Olivia Newton-John”

Tracked by James Bridges and mixed by Pat DiCenso in studio A, Juliana Hatfield’s Olivia Newton-John tribute album has been described as a match made in female-rocker heaven.  Recorded with her longtime rock ‘n’ roll rhythm section of drummer Pete Caldes and bassist Ed Valauskas of the band Gravel Pit, the record showcases both hit songs and lesser-known tracks from Olivia’s catalog.  Describing her admiration for Newton-John to Paste Magazine she admitted “I never lost my love for Olivia. I never hid it.”

For the sale of every album, one dollar will be donated to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre (ONJ Centre), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing patients with cancer access to leading medical treatment, breakthrough research, and the best in wellness and supportive care.

Amanda Palmer – Small Hands, Small Heart

Amanda Palmer and our old friend Sean Slade rolled into Studio A for a couple of days to record a song Amanda wrote with the help of her fans. Proceeds from the sale of the song on Bandcamp went towards hurricane relief in Puerto Rico. Head on over to Amanda’s website to check out the story behind the song.
