Color Channel recorded this funky hazy tune with Matt Beaudoin in Studio A as part of the Converse Rubber Tracks sessions. Great bass, awesome vocals, and tight drumming.

Parks – Sweater Weather (Video)
Check out this poppy tune from Parks! Matty B tracked drums and various other bits and bobs. The song won the Jon Lennon songwriting contest in 2013. Brian E King has this to say about the song:
“I wrote “Sweater Weather” on a typical, blistering summer’s day in Boston,” says Brian E. King, who shares frontman duties with keyboardist Liz McBride. “The Smiths-y riff came out of nowhere, and it was the fastest song I’ve ever written. Lyrically, it’s based on the optimism of a new romance surrounded by the beautiful — yet decaying — autumn season. Crisp late nights and pumpkin beers.”
Collide by Airport (Video)
Here’s a video for Airport’s Collide – including footage shot in Studio B.
Airport’s Go Up Out Now!
Airport is the brain child of Craig Small, formerly of Waltham. Craig arrived at Q to produce the band Boone.
This is his solo effort. Almost all the instruments were performed by Craig at home. After the record was done, drums were tracked in Studio B, and the entire thing was mixed by Rafi.
Corin Ashley – Badfinger Bridge (Video)
Corin Ashley’s Badfinger Bridge is off his 2013 release New Lion Terraces. It was recorded all over the place, INCLUDING a studio called Abbey Road (as this video makes clear)! Not sure anything on this song was tracked at Q; BUT, Corin did drag his 1″ MCI 8 track tape deck to Q for the sessions (where it still resides in Studio B. Remote-less and free of an auto locator, it makes the operator’s life that much more interesting!).
Dave Mattacks played drums straight onto that tape machine, and Kay Hanley contributed vocals to a few tracks that appeared on New Lion Terraces.
This video brought to our attention thanks to the good folks at Daykamp Music who have a nice blog dedicated to music videos from local artist.
