Peter Buzzelle And The Academy’s September release, Devil Love is filled with crunchy guitars, driving drums and carefree, fun lyrics. Tracked at both 1867 and Q, and mixed by James Bridges in Studio A, this outing finds PB and his band in full on 90’s rock mode. You can listen to Devil Love on Bandcamp.

Pale Monsters – Take What You Can Take
Take What You Can Get is the debut release from Boston-based Indie Rock band, Pale Monsters. Fronted by Chris Mulvey, former member of Muy Cansado, Pale Monsters finds Mulvey’s signature songwriting style in a new musical outfit. Produced by Jon Lupfer and engineered by James Bridges at 1867 during the closing of Q’s Studio B and completed in Studio A at Q Division, Take What You Can Get was released this past June. With dreamy synths, luscious soundscapes and playful songwriting, Pale Monsters are an exciting new offering to the Boston music community. You can listen to Take What You Can Get on Bandcamp.
Nemes – Live at Q Division
Nemes rolled into Q Division this past winter and tracked a batch of songs live in Studio B (RIP) with James Bridges, and released them for Record Store Day. This stuff sounds immediate and fun – check it out on Bandcamp, or order your very own cassette tape!
James Bridges
James began interning at Q Division in January of 2014, and has only left the building a couple of times since. As you can tell, this has allowed James to perfect Egon von Furstenberg’s Power Look, which is described in detail in a book by the same title. Occasionally we’ve been able to get James not to use the Roland Space Echo while recording drums.
Artists James has worked with:
Fall Out Boy
Mike Gordon
Kid Ink
Alisha Bathe
Pale Monsters
Yankee & The Foreigners
Stig
Fontaine
Matt Christianson
Thiago Carmago
Wake Child
Cherry Mellow
Jenny Dee, Ruby Rose Fox, The Lights Out, and Sidewalk Driver
All four bands got together to collaborate on a version of Chain of Fools.
