We finally got a band into Studio A to hear it and test it out. Eric Salt and Electric City are long time Q Friends, so we were super comfortable and happy to have them help us break in the room.
We think the room sounds really cool, and of course we found some bugs (well duh). I (Rafi) took some pictures of the guys while they were playing, and Chuck Hargreaves and I both moved mics and engineered. After over a year and a half of building and restoring the Neve it was nice to use the room as we designed it!
Check out the pictures… The sounds – well, that might take a minute to finish.

Oh boy, we’re doing it! We’re letting Bill rearrange Studio A so that he can mix drinks and sing and play songs. Is there a better way to spend some time on Friday, February 26th? We think not.
Catch the entire livestream on our YouTube page, and on Buffalo Tom’s Facebook page.
Viewing the livestream is totally free – but tips are appreciated, and there will be the chance to purchase autographed posters. More info on Facebook!

We’ve been super lucky to host and tape a bunch of upcoming livestreams. This is the second in a three concert series of livestream shows that Mandorla Music is presenting. Zahili Gonzalez Zamora brought her husband Gerson Lazo Quiroga (bass) to Q Division and performed a mesmerizing 5 piece set on piano and bass. We hope you can tune into to their YouTube Channel to check out the livestream on February 20th.

We’re happy to team up with our friend Mark Redmond’s Mandorla Music for a pre recorded livestream with the incredibly talented Tyson Jackson Trio. Taped in Studio A the live stream will premier at 8 pm on Saturday, January 23rd. Recording was engineered and mixed by Colin Fleming and video was shot by Rafi Sofer, assistant extraordinaire was Terrance Reeves.
