Sounds like As the Sparrow used every instrument in the building and a few more they brought with them for their Rubber Tracks session in Studio A. They mention the word swing on their Bandcamp page, and I’m dubbing this stuff Indie Swing… Fiddles, trumpet, piano, boy/girl vocals, drums, guitars – there’s something for everyone. Even what sounds like tape hiss! An instrument you might not hear while your new vinyl is popping and crackling on the turntable.

Beware the Dangers of a Ghost Scorpion! – Caught Dead EP (RT)
Beware the Danger of a Ghost Scorpion! are a Boston based Surf-Prog band that was in Studio A tracking an EP as part of their Converse Rubber Tracks session. Reverb, reverb, tape delay, echo, and maybe a little spring reverb are abundant on this EP.
The Bynars – Time vs. Money (BC)
The Bynars have been to Q Division a few times. This time they were here on a Converse Rubber Tracks session, where they used their day with Matt Beaudoin to work on the song Time Vs. Money.
Word has it they cut guitars, AND ran some of their drum machines through amps and into Studio A’s live room. The synths on this track are killer!
Mellow Bravo – Don’t You Get Lonely (BC)
Mellow Bravo were in Studio A as part of the Converse Rubber Tracks Series. They recorded and mixed this killer track, with Matt Beaudoin at the controls. It was a blast having these guys in the building – they loved everything they saw, heard, and touched! Matt said he’d recorded no louder band. Ever.
Barricades – Living in a Bubble (RT)
Barricades slipped into Q for a Converse Rubber Tracks session in the first week we hosted the pop up studio in Studio A. Poppy, powerful, fantastic vocals, and great guitars sounds. Converse’s Aaron Bastinelli came down from Brooklyn for the first week and engineered and mixed this one.
