David Duchovny released these teasers today from the time he spent recording at Q Division in the Fall and Winter. His debut studio album, Hell or Highwater, featuring those tracks, will be coming out soon on ThinkSay Records.

Here is the studio’s newest mic, which was also quite possibly the very FIRST microphone ever to be found at Q Division.
This Brüel and Kjaer model 4007 omni mic belonged to Mike Blackmer and was the very mic he used to test the design of the original Q Division control room back in 1986. I’m kind of guessing when I say that it was there before any of the other equipment, because if you think I remember the exact order of things in 1986… I don’t.
