Here is the studio’s newest mic, which was also quite possibly the very FIRST microphone ever to be found at Q Division.
This Brüel and Kjaer model 4007 omni mic belonged to Mike Blackmer and was the very mic he used to test the design of the original Q Division control room back in 1986. I’m kind of guessing when I say that it was there before any of the other equipment, because if you think I remember the exact order of things in 1986… I don’t.
