Slight Bight is a vehicle for Gavin McCarthy’s songs. Gavin’s songs are catchy and tuneful while still allowing for exploration, especially in sections that feature Andrew Stern on guitar. Gavin performs quadruple duty – playing bass, drums, guitar, and singing! Could have named the band Quad Bight.
You might have heard or seen Gavin play drums in Karate, E, The Confessions, Cul de Sac, and many other Boston area indie bands.

They have been described as “(a) band that plumbs the darker depths of Americana, creating an “avant-noir” sound in which you can hear faint echoes of modern-day Swans, Timber Timbre, and of course Johnny Cash…”
