{"id":2465,"date":"2016-02-02T17:18:56","date_gmt":"2016-02-02T21:18:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/qdivisionstudios.com\/?p=2465"},"modified":"2016-05-20T14:57:44","modified_gmt":"2016-05-20T18:57:44","slug":"studio-renovations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/qdivisionstudios.com\/word\/studio-renovations\/","title":{"rendered":"Studio Renovations!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We&#8217;re renovating !\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As Q Division starts its 30th year, we are getting ready for our first major overhaul in the 16 years we\u2019ve been in Davis Square.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While we\u2019re\u00a0bidding a fond farewell\u00a0to our Studio B and our current offices as part of our new landlord\u2019s reconfiguration of the building,\u00a0we\u2019re also looking forward to\u00a0renovating and expanding our existing Studio D to replace and improve on it. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The new studio will feature an upgraded Pro Tools HDX system, enhanced mixing and mastering capabilities and a brand new control room designed by\u00a0Lou Clark, of Sonic-Space.\u00a0 We are also planning some major equipment improvements and increased booking flexibility in the new studio to meet the needs of different projects. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Studio A, our Neve 8068 room, will remain open throughout the renovations, and we will continue booking sessions in Studio D as long as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Right now things are a bit chaotic with the move and the construction but we are still open for business \u2013 and we\u2019ll have an announcement soon about the configuration and design of the new studio.\u00a0As part of the move we\u2019re clearing out the tape vault.
